Tourism Vancouver's Visitor Centre at 200 Burrard is currently open with the team helping visitors in person from Wednesday to Sunday, 9am to 3:30pm.  Curious to know where our visitors are coming from and what they're asking for?

  • Our team is seeing about 16 parties a day, 28 people per day. Busiest days tend to be Wednesday and Thursday, with weekends being a tad slower. Typical traffic this time of year is about 100+ parties per day.
  • Overnight visitor origin was primarily Ontario (32%) and Quebec (38%), followed by Alberta (10%); with several Metro Vancouverites still coming in for information and inspiration on destinations within BC to visit (36% of overall traffic).
  • Average length of stay is about four to five days in Vancouver, it is common for these visitors to also spend time exploring on Vancouver Island, Whistler, and Western Canada (Rocky Mountains).
  • Most common questions remain Maps and Directions (74%); Attractions and Sightseeing (65%); followed by Public Transit (31%) and Bus and Ferry Transportation (29%).
