While borders are still closed to international travellers for non-essential travel, Minister of Transport Marc Garneau is requiring that effective Thursday, January 7, 2021, all air passengers five years of age or older will be required to test negative for COVID-19 before travelling from another country to Canada.

Airlines must confirm a negative test, take temperature, ask about COVID exposure and screen for symptoms. All travellers crossing by air, land or sea will be required to digitally submit forms through ArriveCAN and they will need to quarantine for 14 days upon return.
