BC Tourism & Hospitality - Survey for Employers

Labour Shortage Crisis: Share Your Thoughts

Staffing issues continue to plague the tourism and hospitality industries. Please help go2HR with a Labour Market Information Research Project. Participate in the survey today and enter into a draw for prizes valued at $1,500.

go2HR is the human resource and health & safety association for BC’s tourism and hospitality industry. Even before COVID-19, the industry faced some significant human resource challenges. Those challenges will only increase as we emerge from the pandemic. With funding from the Governments of BC and Canada, go2HR is responding to these challenges by undertaking an ambitious labour market research project.

They need your help! They want to hear from a representative sample of employers across all sectors and regions of the province. It will take about 25 minutes to complete the survey. They want to hear about the impact of COVID-19 on your operations, the human resource issues you face, and what can be done to help industry in dealing with these issues going forward.

If you participate in the survey, you will be entered into a draw for prizes valued at $1,500. They will also provide you with a monthly email update on the labour market as we recover from the pandemic and a summary of the findings.

The survey is being administered by the Qatalyst Research Group. Any information you provide will be compiled by Qatalyst, held confidential and not shared with go2HR, and reported only in summary form with the responses of other participants. Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact Judy Frankel, Communications Manager at go2HR or Jacky Zhang, Manager of Research at Qatalyst.

Insurance Task Force Needs Your Input

The Tourism Industry Association of Canada (TIAC) and the Provincial & Territorial Tourism Industry Association (PTTIA), that includes TIABC, have formed a tast force on the issue of rising insurance premiums in the tourism industry.

Operators are increasingly concerned with commerical insurance access, premium increases, and limited liability coverage.  Insurance is a fundamental element in the industry's ability to build back stronger post pandemic.

To help with TIABC's advocacy work on this issue, please complete this survey below.  Thank you for your time and input.
